"Night markets are well known throughout Asia," says Mills Market owner Johnny Tung. "Every country has its own version ... small vendors, making the food right in front of you, and you walk around and experience everything."

From 5:30-9:30 p.m. on May 21, Mills Market will host its fifth homage to Asia's night markets, this time celebrating Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Orlando’s Mills 50 neighborhood is where many Asian-Americans put down roots just after the Vietnam War, immigrating through a Catholic refugee program. Over time, these businesses have brought a variety of southeast Asian flavors to the area. Nearly 50 years later, the neighborhood is a foodie destination for everything from Pho, to bao buns, to Korean bbq, Laos street food, and Cantonese roast duck. The Mills Market has quickly become a favorite food hall and a Michelin-recognized standout for its Japanese onigiri, Vietnamese Bahn Mi, and hand-pulled Udon.

Mills Market is proud to announce the launch of Meals 50, a goodwill initiative dedicated to giving back to the Orlando community through food.

Each month, Mills Market will host curbside pop-up events in collaboration with local chefs and restaurants, with a portion of proceeds going toward donating 50 meals to those in need.
